The beginning
This was made because my retarded (;]) boyfriend didn't understand what all this was after explaining and explaining. Lol, so I'm going to do a big thing here.
The very first thing a person does when they want to join the siteworld is create their name. Most people have "lyts" in their name, but that was mostly in myspace days when people actually used layouts. (Layouts = the backgrounds you would put on your profile) You have to be creative with it and hope no one else has that name yet. Once you have your name, you create your account on facebook and get to making signs.
Signs - A designed picture, which can be three different types.
First, you have to find a few sitemodels. A sitemodel is just someone who models for you. Each sitemodel will most likely have a manager. A manager is someone who makes sure their model stays off rare sites (explained later), their model is not faked, and they watermark and hand out the pictures.
The first photo is one without a watermark, obviously. The second one has her name and friend ID. This is so the picture can't be stolen. Usually the watermark is faded a bit, but the one below I didn't fade at all because of the pictures quality.
Because her friend ID is 100002414574307, I wrote that below her name in the watermark.
Every time a manager water marks a picture, they will upload it onto the sitemodels account. They are making this picture available for request.
The sites that would like to use this picture in their sign will comment "Can i have this one?" and the manager will give it out to the sites that requested it.
Before you're able to request the picture though, you have to sign a sitemodel note. For an example, look below.
Okay, so now we've gotten our request picture. What now? Most people use photoshop when they edit. You have to decide whether you're making a simple sign, preppy/showtime style sign, or a vexel.
This is a preppy sign, also called "showtime style":
See how behind my sitemodel theres lines? For a better look at the "background" look below.
This is called a sun vector which has been shortened to vector. All of the designs on the colors are called brushes and patterns
When making a preppy sign, the most important thing you will need is called scanlines Because you use them to stroke on almost everything.
Scanlines:
Simple sign:
As you can see, there is no vector in it. Theres just a bunch of colors and brushes. If you don't understand what a brush is, its basically an image that adds effect to the picture. See the drip thing? Thats a brush. Theres also hearts and other things you can add.
A vexel is a cartooned image.
I DID NOT CREATE THIS. FOUND ON GOOGLE IMAGES. CREDIT GIVEN.
When you've finished your sign, you must add your site name so your sign cannot be stolen. There are some sites who take another talented site and use their site name and pretend everything they do, is theirs.
